About the school
A private university founded in 1886. It has 31,068 students, including 1,086 international students (undergraduate 596 · graduate 490). There are 874 faculty members, 85 of them from outside Japan. It has 5 campuses (Senriyama, Takatsuki, Takatsuki Muse, Sakai, Suita Mirai); which one you attend depends on your department.

Good to know before applying
- You must have studied abroad for at least two-thirds of the 12-year school education program abroad. People who graduated (or will graduate) from only a Japanese high school cannot apply; time enrolled in foreign-affiliated schools in Japan is treated the same as Japanese schools.
- Applications with missing required documents are not accepted. No changes are allowed after applying. You cannot apply to multiple faculties within the same recruitment month.
- The high school graduation certificate and transcript must be originals (copies not accepted). Documents in languages other than Japanese or English need a notarized translation from an embassy, etc.
- Exams are held at Kansai University campuses. If you live outside Japan and cannot apply for a short-term visa yourself, contact the university by the application start date.
- The admission fee (admission registration fee) is not refunded. If pre-enrollment study is not done adequately, admission may not be granted.

Scholarships
- Pre-enrollment Reserved Scholarship for Privately Funded International Students (new students): selected and notified before enrollment based on entrance exam results, etc. Paid for 1 year, for students with the "Student" residence status who are academically excellent and have financial difficulty studying.
- Scholarships for privately funded international students in Year 2 and above, and external scholarships recommended by the university or open to applications, are also available.
